The Power of Vulnerability

A friend of mine shared this video on Facebook. I've watched a few talks on TED.com before that blew my mind - so that fact, along with the title that resonated so deeply with me, intrigued me enough to postpone my bedtime by another 20 minutes so that I could watch it. I think this talk is going to be my new obsession for a while....

Check it out - whether you're profoundly affected as I was, or at the very least entertained, it'll be worth your time.

  3. I love the conversation she first had with her therapist. "It's bad isn't it? . . . It's neither good nor bad." So funny.

What did you think about her comment regarding (un)certainty and religion?

    1. Depending on how you look at it, I think there's some validity to what she says (don't you like how uncertain I am? ;)). I saw an example of it this past Sunday, during a combined meeting of how to answer questions from people about the church - one of which was concerning the Official Declaration of 1978. There were at least a half a dozen answers from people instead of the truth - we just don't KNOW. To me, that's the "faith and mystery to certainty" she refers to. Instead of us just saying what Nephi said - that we know God loves His children, but we don't know the meaning of all things.

What was your take on that comment?
(Oh, and I agree about the therapist part - so enjoyable!)
